Re: saving customer 3d files.
John,
First the file has to be compatible with eCabinets ( STL or HSF ).
Then they have to email you the file, save it to your desk top.
If it is a zip file right click and chose extract all, it should unzip and put another file on your desk top.
Then go to eCab. open the display part editor go down to open STL/HSF click it, make sure your at the desk top scroll down till you find the file you saved on the desk top click it hit open and it should appear on the screen. It will be all black so you will have to give it a texture.

Re: saving customer 3d files.
Most of the files in the Customer 3D Files forum are already in HSF format, so download and same them to your Import\Sample_HSFs folder. Open in Display Part Editor and, if it already had the texture you want (most will), save it back in the Sample_HSFs folder. You may have to restart eCabinets before it will show in the selection dialog under Display Parts.

The only difference in our answers is the file source. Your answer is great for files from other sources/users.Gary Puckett wrote:Misunderstood your question

Dan,
Posting 300 more, doesn't guarantee I will be able to guide others
