Printing Problem

Post by Zach Froble »

I had a problem with our printer last week and had to reinstall it. Now when I go into the line drawing editor it gives me a message to make sure the printer setup is correct. I went to the file menu and clicked print setup but nothing came up. I tried printing but nothing is working. I can print from other applications.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Zach,

Try shutting down your computer and printer and then restart them both.

Try going to the manufactures site and getting the latest Drivers.

I tried restarting and the installed the latest drivers. The funny thing it was working fine and is still working fine with other applications. It is only Ecab that is giving me the problem.

Any other suggestions.

Thanks,

Can you print from the Cost Sheet or Buy List? Is it just the LDE that wont print?

Are you using Vista Zach? I know some folks have had similar printing problems with Vista.

I can print from the buy list and cut list, but I am still getting the same message when I open up the LDE. It is still telling me to check the print setup, but when I click on print set up nothing happens.

I am still using XP.

Thanks,
Zach

Are you checking print setup via eCabinets (File->Print Setup)?

Dan,

I tried clicking on print setup while in the line drawing editor, but nothing comes up on the screen.

Zach,

Try deleting the file { DrawingsPrinterSettings.ref } from your eCabSys install directory and then try to print from LDE.
