Scroll down a bit when you are posting and you will see the upload attachment tab. Click on that and you will be able to upload. Remember that the jpg needs to be 800x600 or smaller otherwise eCabs will not allow the upload. I save the jpg to my documents and upload from there. hth.

How do you get the doors and drawers open?

When I render something I have to "Hide doors" to show the inside to the customer. Please, showing doors and drawers opening is huge for making the sale.

Hi Cesar. Sorry it took me so long to reply as I've been kind of busy. To show the doors open you figure out the size of the door and add them in Custom Layout and then rotate them and move them into place. To show the drawers open you take the cabinet to the cabinet editor and under Construction Settings you choose Drawer and Door settings and set the Drawer Front Inset to a minus number. Hope this helps.

Just to add to Greg's comments.

Open doors:
Determine the size of the doors by installing a door. The cut list should give you the size or you can do some basic math. He mentioned placing a door in the Custom Layout Editor. It would be a lot easier in the Cabinet Editor. First remove the door, then add the door as a Display Door. You can then use the Align feature to place and rotate the door. The Align feature does not exist in Custom Layout.

Open Drawers:
For presentation to the customer, that is a great solution. For your cutlist, probably not so. The drawer box size is constrained by your construction settings, so the depth of the box would increase to maintain the back inset. The hole pattern would also likely shift. But again, for the customer, that works. As I've noticed in many forum postings, the designers typically save their work in different stages. One stage might be just the room layout, the next is used just for cutlists and additional saves would be for presentation purposes. The designs are saved under different names and would most likely have some form of file naming conventions to delineate which file you are working with.

When I display drawers opened I simply increase the minimum back inset for the drawer box by the same amount as the front negative inset that I add to open the drawer. If I use a -10" Drawer Front Inset I would then add 10" to whatever my drawer box Minimum Back Inset figure is. This keeps the cutlist correct.

Very nice job! I do wish we could just click on a door or a drawer and select "Open Door or Drawer". That would be a nice feature.
