My first kitchen with eCabinets

Post by Donald Thomson »

I finished my first kitchen using eCabinets, Shopbot Link and my ShopBot CNC. All cabinet work done in the past was done using the tables saw and router. My first go around with CNC was a real experience and had quite the learning curve. I constructed everything - cabinets - drawer boxes - drawer fronts, doors, in the kitchen cabinets except the crown molding which I purchased. Drawer hardware is Blum Tandem Blumotion soft closing. Doors use Blum hinges with Blumotion soft closing. Carvings were done by my Shopbot CNC. Counter top is corian (I didn't do the counter or back splash).

Instead of cluttering up the Thermwood forum with pictures I've included a link to my website with eCabs renderings, pictures and video.

Thank you Thermwood for providing software like eCabinets and ShopBot Link. They've definitely brought me into the 21st century.

George - coming from you that is a big compliment. Thank you very much.

Greg - Thank you for the compliment. I'm in the process of redoing the website to make it easier to navigate and a little less busy. Stay tuned.

Thanks again to you both!

Hi Donald, Were the two fantastic carvings done on a Thermwood or Shopbot and how long did each one take to machine?
Thanks Stephen.

Stephen,

Thank you for the compliments.

There are a total of 3 carvings in the kitchen and they were all done on a Shopbot PRSAlpha 96x60 with 2.2hp spindle.
Sincerely,
