eCabinets Still Amazes Me

It is amazing how much detail the eCabinets software is capable of. Many of the parts of this mantel will be modeled on a C43. This should be a fun project.

Looks awesome Kerry. Are you going to model some logs to put in the fireplace too?

Thanks All,

Wayne, I have a great deal of time with this because this is the fifth mantel design in the seventh revision of the total design which includes a couple of other cabinets. I have drawn these with flat fluted columns, radius fluted columns, panel radius columns, half circle top rails, straight top rails, eyebrow top rails, display cabinets recessed at three different depth, display cabinet bumped out, cabinets at 84" height, cabinets to the ceiling, (you get the picture :) )

This was a good test for the eCabinets software. The two display cabinets have backs at different depths, full depth for the lower and 12" depth for the upper integral to the sides.

The mantle back splat is joined using puzzle joints and has all the pocket holes etc. milled at the machine so everything should snap together and I will make up some of the design time on assembly.

My point is that there are not many software packages that are capable of this design screen to machine including all the panel modeling on the mantel.

Here is one of the other cabinets in this job

Luckily they have decided against the microwave in this cabinet.
