George,
You could make a firebox with a cutout in a display cube. the only problem is that the brick image gets messed up when you cut the pocket. I exported this one to the display parts editor and played with the image but as you can see the display parts editor has the problem of skewing the image. This just looks like some fancy brickwork. Maybe add an image of fire on another display cube and place it in the firebox.

Thank You Kerry
My older son just came in the office.I had your picture up on the computer. He will not used the computer? He has been doing all our brick and block work for about 15 years now.He thinks someone did that brick work in the picture. He said don't give up your day job for brick work.
I like the fire in the fire box.I would like to play with it now but I have to go back out to the shop.

George,
This is what I came up with when I put it with a mantel. Looks like I need to move the mantel over an inch of so to the right. Oh well you get the gist.
