These are bookcases we did in a log cabin that open to an attic space. The picture are not that great, sorry.

Very nice John. A few yrs. back I had the opportunity to build a built in shoe cab. There was a sizable space behind that the clients wished to use for \"safe\" storage . To this day only the clients & I know what lies behind that cab.

Reminds me of the bookcases I built yrs ago that had a hidden door in them. The room behind held a home office, safe and all the security system hardware for this rather large home.(17 garage doors and something expensive behind every one)anyway, we were trimming out and the security company showed up for maintence or something, he came in the house and in to the room we were working in and the room he usually accesed his equpment from, with a look af surprise, he asked me how he was supposed to get to his equipment, well, I told him he needed to go outside and around the house and use the exterior entrance to the room........ About a 1/2 hour later he comes back in and said there was no outside entrance, I gave him the OH SH-- and said the owner had told me there was one! Just before he started throwing things I walked up to the bookcase and gave the secret door a bump, lets just say he did not appreciate my talents in hiding that door one teeny bit that day!
