well I guess the customer backed out and didn't tell me. The image was there last night and now it isn't.

Oh well.

Thanks

Looks like that one might bring a little more money than the first one.

A couple of questions:

Did the customer spec a smaller drawer on the lower left (circled)?

What is the large blank area in the center?

Dan, Michael is correct, the drawer is open, its just hard to tell at the angle the image was taken. The large blank space in the middle is a wall. The kids room had these two nooks to either side of the wall (its a closet for the room on the other side :?: ) . The customer has a regular chest of drawers in each nook and called me to see if I could build built in book cases and possible work the computer equipment into the space and oh, by the way can you get a few file drawers in there. and we don't want to see any of the equipment when the doors are closed. Sure, I said, no problem. I sent the customer a picture at a slightly different angle to show the file drawers open, and the lower pocket doors open.

Thanks,
Damon

Oh Dan, I figure after I get my foot in the door, I will make a subtle suggestion about maybe doing some nice wainscoting on the walls or maybe a nice panel for the middle to cover up the big blank wall. I just don't want to over whelm them all at one and get sticker shock.

BTW,
Damon

AhHaaa...now I see said the blind man

From the straight-on view it looked like that drawer was smaller.

Hey, for the wainscoting, just plan for it in your design (and maybe \"accidently\" show them an image of it). The picture with it will eat away at the wife until she tells hubby that she wants it too.

Dan, I will forgive you, with you being a Wizard and all. I just figured that your crystal ball was cloudy today.

Its been raining here every day for the last two days (off and on). Makes since, since we are trying to get the new utilities to our shop for the new thermwood machine. They have to bore under the road to run the conduit. Everytime it drys up enough, it starts to rain and fills up the pitts they have to dig to get the boring bar under the road. The utility company set the pole today, but without any underground conduit, they can't pull the wire. We are going to have to hurry up, the machine ships next week.

Put a tarp over the holes and bail them out :joker:

You can also send the rain our way--we REALLY need it. Farmers are selling their cattle because they can't buy hay for the winter.

Hi Damon, is that printer space below the keyboard tray?

Rick, I have space for the PC Tower, Flat Bed Scanner, and Printer. They wanted a regular desk, but wanted all the equipment to hide out of the way and also wanted file drawers. The only way I could make it look ok, was to make the sliding pocket doors and have the key board pull out and equipment below. Plus it made the room look symetrical with both sides looking the same. I told them I could make a conventional desk, but they would have to give up something like file drawers, or have a piece of equipment sitting on top. But, I think this design turned out ok. I got the e-mail confirmation last night and they said go ahead with it.

Thanks,
Damon
