Wood range hoods....

Post by markvan »

Anyone have files for a wood range hood. Something that goes tight between the cabinets.....

Attached is a picture the hood that I will be using. Pretty standard, I'm sure many other people are using the same style.
The picture shows a 36" wide version, I will be using the 30" version. Same thing, just without the 3" fluted colomns on either side.

Thanks.

Have you tried making the hood yourself?

I have no idea how I would do that. I have learned to use the program well for designing and displaying kitchens, but when it comes to 3d stuff or cad programs I am useless. To say that my skills in this area are limited would be an understatement. Non-existant would be accurate.

On the startup page for eCabinets is a link for video tutorials. Click on that link and choose "Part Editor" from the list.

You will want to start with a Display Cube of the appropriate size. In the Part Editor you will "cut away" everything that is not part of the hood design.
