Tool safety zone with version 8

Postby Matt Quarles » Tue, Jul 19 2011, 3:39PM

We just had our big pattern cutting machine upgraded with version 8 and it has been running fine. Today I'm trying to run a pattern on the V-table and it moves over to start cutting and then goes into e-stop. I'm getting a message that is saying toolchange safety zone violation. Any ideas on a setting to change for this toolchange safety zone??

Matt,

I would like for you to check the following input status in your Maintenance Screen:

Input 23 should be OFF and Input 24 should be ON, Unless a toolchange is
in process. It seems that your machine thinks the toolchange door is
open.

Matt,

Thanks for the email updating me on your status since communications yesterday, just let us know if you need anything else.

Resolution:

"I shut the machine down last night. Then I blew out the electrical
connector on the tool door and reseated the connector. It is running
now."
