Conestoga Cabinets

Post by Gary Puckett »

Does anyone have an oppion on Conestoga cabinets? I have a client that we are doing her basement and redoing her bar, I have to have this done by Thanksgiving so I thought about the put together cabinets from conestoga, but I have no idea about the quality.

I am starting to draw the job so I have no idea on what cabinets I need. She wants to try and keep the cost down.Any input would be helpful. Forgot to tell you I am going to have all the cabinets pre finished

Thanks
Gary

send it to me Gary, I will quote it and have it sent to you finished in plenty of time. You can have exactly what you want.
I could even provide to you flat pack, unfinished if you want to do finish your self.

On Conestago, their doors are great, I have heard good and bad about their cabinets...

Mike,

Thanks for the reply, I am still laying the bar, and back bar out. What color finishes do you offer. Do you have any samples of colors? What about doors? Do you manufacture your own or get them from an out source?

Thanks

HI Gary,
We make some of our doors, but buy them when we can. We do buy some doors from Conestago, but
I have a very large door manufacter 2 miles from my shop, you can view there doors on internet also.
I can match Conestago finishes, I have them all here in shop or match anything you send me, not a big deal there.
I am just finishing a bar myself, a 26 foot commercial bar, I will attach picture or 2.
Let me know if I can help Gary, cutting 2 other jobs for other shops right now..

Mike,

Like I said I never used Conestoga before, but I have used Waltzcraft, and I have samples of their colors. Tried to look at your web site but it would not come up.What is the name of the door shop by you?

Hey Gary,
Did you clink on my web-site link in my signature?
Comes right up for me..
The door company by me is Indiana diminsions. I took the cma through there a year or so ago for a tour, very cool stuff...http://www.indianadimension.com/
They are really after large quantitys of doors, but will run anything I need.
I buy from them, and about three other places depending on what I need and there current lead times..
We also still make a few doors when we have to, the bar that I posted pics of have doors we made here in shop..
As far as stain, you could just ups me your sample, I could match it and return yours..
I use ml campbell or sherwin williams wiping stains depending on what color I need and what I am doing with it.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the compliment, Buuutttt, I got to call you out on the chinese cabinets.
I dont think promoting them is a good thing anywhere, let alone on the thermwood Forum..
They might be good for a quick buck, but that is about it..
NO offence intended, and just my opinion...

Mike (& Gary),
I stand corrected and ready for my lashes with a bamboo cane (Or an oak plank since Bamboo is imported). I didn't mean to suggest I "push" these and after rereading my post I see that I guess I was. But unfortunately, it also is reality in that some people (especially commercial contractors) are pricing guys like us against these and they use price as the overriding decider. Just tryingto acknowlege there are options out there for consumers if dollars are the biggest issue. We are in a competeive world today and at least in our area, we need to meet multiple budget levels so need options.
Sorry to raise the hair on your neck!
Hope we can still be friends! It is almost deer season so you might be in a good mood and forgive me?
NO offence taken. Deserved it. My bad.
