Automaic lubricantion system

Postby Alex Bowler » Thu, May 10 2012, 4:01PM

Hi,

The oil for the automatic lubrication system on the cnc does not seem to be going down. It is still dripping in to the top
section at 1 drop per 5 seconds. How long does the oil last typically? Machine is use about seven hours a day.

I only seem to need to replenish it every month, sometimes every other month. I'd check the ends of the tubes to make sure air is coming out, check for leaks or breaks in the lines.

Hi,

I check the air at the bearings and is under pressure (when I pulled out air line air was coming out) but the oil has not really gone down since the machine was commission about three months ago is this normal? I'm only use to having grease the machine every week.

Alex,

Just a note that in the future, this sort of inquiry might be better placed in the "Thermwood 3 Axis Machinery" forum.

You might want to contact Thermwood directly-
