Labor Question

Post by Gary Puckett »

Do you think $3.00 a foot to hang crown mold is a fair price? The crown is 7.25" and the ceilings are 12' high

Pretty fair for the home owner :D Have to be a lot of it and not to many corners to make that work out?If not I would figure up your hours to do it including move in/clean up. See how that works out, bet its closer to double that.

I have to agree. I do a lot of trim work and crown. I even charge about $8-$10 a foot for basic 3"-5" paint grade crown. Depending on how big the job is. If its a whole house then I go more like $8 if its a room or two it more like $10. Also were are you? Im in Southern California all prices are high around here.

Gary,

I agree with Ben & Michael. We charge $8 /ft for the most part.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the input, but here is St. Charles, MO I don't think they are going to pay that. Also in that price does that include painting, filling nail holes, and caulking? I have been getting some wild replies, one was a guy priced crown out by the amount of corners. So much for a inside cope and so much for a outside corner and so much for any splices.
