Post by DanFecteau »

When I load a file that I already started to machine and I want to start to a double digit sheet I get "call label does not exist" ???

Thank you.

Me too, but our control nesting software is old, so maybe that is it?

If you could please sent me a copy of your machine MSU text file, I will have a look to see how the label scan is set on your particular machine. The text file is located in the following location: C:\Msufmt\"machinename".MSU

Also, I will need to see a copy of your THMMSU.BIN file that is located in C:\System directory.

You can email the files to: program@thermwood.com

Dan,

I would assume that you did not have this issue BEFORE your Hard Drive Retro... Am I correct?

There is a setting in the machine MSU that instructs the controller to scan the complete program for CALL LABELs (M80L#). Back when you machine was first released, this setting was set to NO. CNC Automation probably changed the setting to "YES" back around 2006 to accommodate your use of Control Nesting. The MSU was recompiled and updated to your THM SYSTEM directory.

When your "COLLECTOR" files were sent in for your recent hard drive retro, it is possible that this modified MSU (compiled .BIN) was not applied to the newly configured hard disk drive.

Ryan will probably confirm this when you send him your MSU (c:\msufmt\C40-344.MSU) and the compiled BIN version c:\system\thmmsu.bin. It should then be easy for him to update this for you.

If we can be of assistance, let us know....

Thanks Ryan, applied the update this morning and it is now running from sheet 9 onwards, whereas before it would lock up.

Good Morning Ryan
Can you send me the update as well. The manual say that the program can not see a label after the 5000th line of code. Very frustrating if you do carvings and at the end of the carving program ,when all it needs to do is a parameter (outline) cut, pics up the tool and up comes the error message "Call label does not exist".
If I change the C40-482.MSU file where it says "Full Label scan" from "no" to "yes", will that sort it out?
Thanks in advance
Marius

Marius,

Yes, I can change your MSU setup as well.

I will need the following files from your machine in order to make changes:

1.) The MSU text file located in: C:\Msufmt\"machinename".MSU
2.) The MSU BIN file located in: C:\System\"THMMSU.BIN"

You can email the files to: program@thermwood.com and refereence this forum posting.
