Default sheet collar

Post by BenRatt »

Does anyone know how to change the default sheet collar in CN? Thru trial and error I've found it's 1/4". I'd like to change it to 1/8". Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Ben,

Is it this setting in CN
Clipboard01.jpg
Or that may just be additional collar. I think I read somewhere that the collar was 50% of the cutter.

Found it
The “Nest to the Edge of the Sheet” check box will allow the operator to nest parts directly along the edge of the sheet of material. By default Control Nesting will leave the radius of the outline tool around the edge of the sheet when creating a nest and then any Collar amount will be added to that number. If the collar is set to zero and the Nest to the Edge of the Sheet is checked, parts will be nested to the edge of the material when creating the CNC code
Maybe you can check Nest to edge of sheet then add 1/8" collar
