Yes we have used this matting material plenty of times here at Thermwood with great results as Brad's video shows. The 3x11 parts should be easy to do as long as pocket chambers/blind holes in mat are drilled in
corresponding locations to your parts, as we have even done much smaller parts then this with good results. A note though, the material we provide has the perfect feel/compression/texture to give good results. You shouldnt expect results from "any" mat that you find at a local store/supplier unless it is indeed similar to the one we provide.
