using the mdf door option in controle nesting

Post by Scott Marshburn »

We have some doors that we would like to make a simple centerline profile with a custom cutter 1/4 ballnose to be exact. The door and the geomentry was created from a back. I have never used the mdf door feature in controle nesting before I need to nest these doors with the rest of the job as they will be on the same material could any one offer any advise. THANKS

Scott,
I've cut a number of MDF doors on the router and the best advice I can give, is to give yourself plenty of time to play with it. There are a lot of subtleties to which tool(s) you have setup and if it is modeling or not modeling etc. It took me some time to get the hang of it and now I love how it works. No real tips. Follow the manual here: http://www.thermwood.com/twood_site/pag ... manual.pdf
