Control Nesting Tree

Postby JohnLashuay » Fri, Apr 06 2012, 1:52PM

In Control Nesting, when a job is first loaded, the tree on the left contains all the parts in the job. Would it be possible to be able to change the layout so it classifies the drawer parts under the drawer box so the drawer box can be checked instead having to go through each part?

The reason behind this is that we remove all our drawers from a job so we can climb cut them. This is due to their size and having to double pass most of the parts which leaves a lip that we have to deal with before we can edge band them.

In the batch editor/ change sheet stock tree this exists (see the screen shots below).

Thanks,
-John

John, why not just put the drawers on a different material then filter by material at CN? If you decided you wanted to combine them later, you could merge materials in CN.

Hi Josh, that is what I have ended up doing. I just figured it would be a nice addition to the CN, if it isn't a big deal to implement.

I agree with you, it would be great if we had the drawer boxes in a sub-level.
