help setting up new fly cut tool

Post by Scott Marshburn »

Our Fly Cutter got bent and we need a new one but the fly cut program that came with the machine is set up with our current 1.75 dia. tool. I searched the online store but cant seem to find a tool with that dia.Can the code be edited so we can use a different dia. tool?

Ok I opened the program in note pad it seams that all I have to do is set up the 999 tool to the new tool in tool management. Am I correct on this?

Thats because you were looking for the wrong Dia. The correct Dia is 50mm or 1.9685. That is the max Dia that will fit into your tool holder. 50mm Lietz is the replacement tool. That is what my CS45 uses

Scott,

You can get the tool via Thermwood. Here is a link to the tool we recommend: http://www.woodworkerswholesale.com/Ins ... l178-2.htm

Also, Yes, all you need to do is set up the correct diameter for tool number 999.
