Maintenance history gone

Post by Jeremy Schiffer »

What could cause all of my maintenance history to disappear? And is there any way to get it back? I've not updated or changed anything on the controller, just went to do the weekly maintenance, and there's nothing in the list! :(

Your DXF file causes Control Nesting to lock up. You then have to turn off power to Thermwood control panel To restart. BAM you just lost your maintenance schedule. Then a few months later it happens again and again. Now you do not have a clue when your long term maintenance is due. It is gone forever Call Daniel in the morning and he will send you a new file to restart your maintenance.

Go into your C:\system directory and delete the MCLOCK.BAK and the MCLOCK.BIN files. Restart the THM software and the schedule should be reset to the factoory settings now. Hope this helps.

Thanks, that got the schedule restored. I'm assuming 4 years of maintenance records are gone, though. Is there something I can do to back up the history occasionally? I see a button called "write file"... is that what it is for?

So how does that work Daniel? Write file makes a copy of the current maintenance hours?

It basically creates a text document that stores what was done and when it was done. Nothing more. It cannot be imported back into the maintenance schedule.
