It is probably an issue with what tooling you have available to perform pocketing operations. It may be that the only tool that is available will only fit into that section of the pocket.

Refer to the width of this "groove" and make sure that you have a tool in Control Nesting that has a diameter available that is smaller and that is enabled for pocketing operations.

Hello Brad

yes i did make sure the the tooling for the pocket is set correctly and dad attach all the export files also for thermwood team to go through them.the pocket is 7mm wide and cutter set are 6mm and 6.35mm, 2 cutters available still its doing a little oval hole instead of L shaped pocket

if iam correct this must be some thing to be fixed in CN as i can see the machine is only cutting the common intersected area of the L shape ( Could be a bug )

can anyone address this issue

Thanks

Mohan, you could also try and set a smaller stepover for the pocketing tool that you have set up. I've noticed problems when the stepover exceeds 50% in some cases. Might be worth a shot.

Mohan,

You can change 2 settings and it will work correctly. In the settings, change the cleanup amount from 0 to .1 and then change from last tool to autoselect. THis will take care of the issue for you.
