Connecting to 3 axis through Network (NETBEUI)

Post by Baub Eis »

We are having problems connecting to our c42s over the network. We have had to upgrade some of our workstations to windows 7 which no longer supports Netbeui protocol. We can still attach via some windows XP machines that we have. But as we all know those are going to be discontinued support in April 2014. Is there any way around that anyone knows for either running Netbeui protocol on windows 7 or upgrading the controller card on CNC that will support TCP/IP?

Thanks

Baub,

What generation of controls are you running? Would they be OS2/pre-Windows 2000 by chance? If so, you issue may be with OS2 itself and less with the network card.

Have you made any inquiries directly with Thermwood's service department?
