CS-43 Not trimming to final size

Post by Tom Havrda »

Hey guys and gals,

I have had my CS-43 for about 8 years or so and it has been working great. Few hiccups here and there but otherwise all good. Now I am having an issue with final trimming.

The issue basically is that when the 1\2 inch cutting bit ramps in on the X-Axis, all is good. Now, when it goes to ramp in on the Y-Axis, it cuts the piece just fine. When it goes to trim to final size and ramps in once again and does not trim half of the front edge. So there is a 2mm difference in depth at the front of the part from back to front.

Any input will be good because right now my guys have to trim everything down on the panel saw which is costing time. Which I don't have the luxury to spare. :wall:

Tom,

What are you using to create and then generate code for your parts/nests? I seem to recall you are using Microvellum. Is this still the case?

Contact us here at CNC Automation, and we can help look into it with you.

I am chatting back and forth with Alain but I wanted to ask on here as well, just in case someone has had the same issue prior.

Just posting an update here, Alain and I are currently working on the solution, seems to be a bad bearing in the head.

Cheers, Tom
