Single Tool Pass Doesn't Obey Max Penetration Settings

Post by Tommy Wieler »

Hello again!
I would like to be able to run a single tool pass that obeys the max penetration settings that are set for that tool in profile modeler. Right now, to achieve this, we need to do an enclosed path that runs all the way around the part, so it ramps down and obeys the max penetration. This wastes material and time. Could the software be tweaked so that a single tool pass, as drawn in attached file, would obey the max penetration settings? In this case, it would repeat the same tool pass over and over until final depth is reached. This would be GREAT! Thanks for your consideration, and have a GREAT weekend everybody!

Tommy,

The software engineers took a brief look, and it appears this may be a bug. There is some code in there for it to be obeyed, but not in other areas. It will take some development, but we will look into it.
