Greetings all!
With reference to the upcoming deadline from Microsoft, ending support for Windows 7, I was wondering if there will be any negative impact on our Thermwood machine running Win7?

Re: End of Support for Win7
I've had the same curiosity. Should we DL the latest service pack for WIN7 while it is still available? OR do we just figure "if its' not broke, then don't fix it?"
Our machine is NOT networked so it is stock as far as the qControl is concerned. Any need to update any drivers as well?

Our machine is networked, but I believe Windows update is disabled.

I'm still running Windows 2k without issues so I would assume W7 will be fine.

Re: End of Support for Win7
When I had to update the motherboard on my MTR the win xp would not install as the motherboard was too much of upgrade for microsoft. I had a brand new version of XP from a friend who works at a high school but that wouldn't work as it referred back to microsoft support who were very polite but said tough cheese. I had to get a new hard drive from Thermwood with a copy of XP preloaded. I dont wish the agony of a unsupported windows on my worst enemy.
I believe the US military dont use Windows but Linux or Unix. I wish that was the case with Thermwood but they must have their reasons.
Regards
Neville
