excel dxf import crash

Post by FredHirsch »

I'm having a problem importing DXF files on RN v 5.08. This is the first time I've tried this. All dxf files load individually just fine but when I put the excel list together it is giving me problems. I checked and all files exist in proper drive and dir on machine. Also, made sure the material already exists in db.
Thanks for help.

Jason,
Thanks for the reply. I don't get an error but the THM software crashes. Get the oportunity to send error report and that is it... I have no idea where that error report is going? Let me know if you need any files. Did you get a look at the xls file? How did it look?
Thanks,
Fred

Hi Fred,

Can you email me the dxf files to cabinets@thermwood.com and I will send these to the programmers to look at?

thanks,

Fred,
I seem to remember something about a DLL or other such thing you might need on the controller to use excel files. Try saving your excel file as a CSV and importing that.

Dave,
Thanks for the tip. I just did the csv and it worked like a champ. Never thought to try csv instead of xls. Thank you for the tip. It must be something with that dll missing????

Jason,
I emailed you the dxf files, but you don't need to spend any more time on this for my problem. I'm happy using the csv files as Dave suggested.
Thanks,
Fred
