Re: crashed profile modeler
I think what happen is that you selected a default toolgroup that did not have any tools in it.Will Williamson wrote:HELP unable to retrieve profile modeler settings from registry
Cause:
Customer creates new Tool Group but does NOT put tools into the group. When the customer closes PM and reopens he gets an Error saying that the "Current Tool Group contains no tools. PM will revert to Default Tool Group." Then PM closes. At the point it is a continuous loop and will not allow you to enter PM .
Solution:
Close the THM software,
Start>Run>regedit>hkey local machine>software>THM>CADCUT>App-properties
Double-Click on "Tool Group", set "Value Data" to 0, Press OK.
Re-launch the THM software, go to the Profile Modeler and make sure a tool is assigned and saved to the Tool Group before closing PM.
If this does not fix the problem let me know.

Re: crashed profile modeler
Will,
I have sent you an email with the toolset.bin file attached. You will need to replace the original with this new file. It's stored in the "C:\profile modeler\tools\" directory. Let me know if you need anything else.

Re: crashed profile modeler
Thanks I'll do that, I was hoping all I needed was a copy of a good file to get it back up. I don't really need profile modeling at the moment but it would be nice to get it fixed.

Re: crashed profile modeler
Ok, a combo of repair install and the above mentioned reg-edit seemed to do the trick, thanks.
