Vacuum Pump
Can the exhaust outlet on our 18hp Becker pump be unbolted and rotated 180 degrees so that it blows out our garage door instead of into our shop. There is 4 bolts on top and it looks like it can be done but we don't want to void any warranty. In the winter its bonus heat but now its too warm to blow into the shop.

Re: Vacuum Pump
Just exhaust it into the paint room, it helps cut down on the drying time.

Re: Vacuum Pump
I positioned mine a couple feet from a outside wall and then attached a couple pcs of pvc on mine and run them outside in the summer and just disconnect them in the winter. Works like a charm.

Re: Vacuum Pump
I have always thought the exhaust air on the vacuum pump was wasted but would be ideal for a platform lifter like a hover craft for moving packs of material. I think someone has already done this using compressed air for moving machinery.
I did try making a hover craft using a leaf blower/vac. It did work lifting a average guy but it developed a few air leaks.
Maybe one of the adventurous Thermwood users might make better use of the exhaust?
Regards
Neville
