Maximum Penetration and Full Dadoes

Post by A Bruce Tindall »

I have managed to caused Rolling Nest to misbehave.

We install the backs into our upper cabinets with a blind dado on the left and right and a full dado at the top and deck.

When cutting the cabinet top on our C40 using Rolling Nest 5.47 with MAX PENETRATION left at 0.8", life is good.

However, setting MAX PENETRATION to 0.25" causes grief.

The final pass on the inside edge at full depth is replaced with a short jog ( at 90 degrees to the correct direction ) that enters the cabinet interior by about 3/16" thereby ruining the part.

All the relevant files are attached ( I hope ). The forum software refused to attach the file with its extension " .7z ", or several other combinations I tried, so I tried " .txt ". The attachment is a zipped up batch of files and its corect extension is " .7z ".

Thanks for your help with this problem.

What software are you using to compress the files? Winzip doesn't seem to recognize the ".7z" extension. You can email the files to program@thermwood.com along with your contact information. Thank you.

Daniel,

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio and is open source software.

Refer here http://www.7-zip.org/ for more information.
