Control Nesting Question

Post by Keith Neal »

Is there a way to set up control nesting for multiple operators on the same machine? For example,I'm the primary operator and R&D logs into my machine to "try something new' after I've left for the day and changes all my default settings(dbl pass, eng to metric, groups, tool #'s,ect) to suit their needs but they don't change them back(which happens alot). This would enable me to be able to log in and go instead of having to spend the time changing them back...

Keith,

If you create an export in Control Nesting at the end of the day, this will save all of your settings and tooling in a cab(zipped) file. If you find the next morning that something has been changed, you can shutdown Control Nesting, unzip this file onto the desktop and then copy the files out of the rolling nest directory that is you just unzipped and paste these files into the C:\Rolling_nest directory. Then you can restart Control Nesting and all of your settings and tooling in CN should be back as they were.
