Nesting speed

Post by MarcoKnjaschewitsch »

Ok just upgraded from Version 5.37 to 5.48 on CN(I Know long wait!) But i'm unhappy with its speed..I load the files just like i normally would at the cnc and Nest and it takes FOREVER actually to the point i've gone back to the old version i had because i don't have 3 hours to Nest if its got alot of operations when my other version literally is done nesting in 20 mins or less if its HEAVY....Maybe imput something i can do to make it faster?

The difference you are seeing is due to processes moved from Write CNC to be performed prior to Nesting. This is actually an improvement in speed for the Write CNC process. In the older version each part that is Nested gets analysed during Write CNC whether or not is actually the same part (due to a quantity increase). In the end the over all process (Nesting AND Write CNC) has been optimized.
