hi all
iam trying to cut 500x500 square with 400x400 pocket and 300x300 square with 100x100 pocket in it. every thing is fine but if u see the layout it is nested seperately why cant the CN5.48 put the small square in the big square pocket did anybody try this or had an issue on this type of job where lot of material can be saved because we are able to do it on the other cnc which is australian made, CN ignores the the pocket area or is it set in that way
can this be solved or any improvements in the next release
thanks
CN layout is this possible

Re: CN layout is this possible
I second this and have been wanting to bring it up for some time. We do plenty of jobs where we have large parts cut out of the centre of something and these go to waste. For example if we are creating frames for panel doors the cut out is not a pocket but done using a chaincomp layer in a DXF. The resulting panels are all wasted and amount to more than half the sheet in area yet other smaller parts are not nested into them. I had a job the other day where I had a hole cut out of a panel 600mm X 800mm and even shelves of 300mm X 250mm in the same job were not nested into the resulting centre piece. Very wasteful!!!

This is something that we have on our list of things that we plan to implement in control nesting, however we do not currently have a time set in which we will actually implement this type of feature. The only way that users can currently utilize the space left over is by manually nesting in a dxf file.
