Hi,
We've been cutting curved pieces in solid wood, 1\" wide, 8\" long, 1.5\" thick. The curve has about an 8\" radius.
When cutting, the tool does a G2 around the outside radius, a G1 across the 1\" end, G3 across the inside radius, and G1 across the other short end.
The problem comes at the transition from short end to inside radius. The corner chips out.
Our new guy says a machine he used to run uses a roll-around. He explained this as putting a radius the same size as the tool at that corner so the tool never loses contact with the corner of the part.
Any chance we could get this added to Control nesting?
Let me know if I confused you.
Dave
