Hi,
I made up a spring loaded dry erase pen that fits in a 1/2\" collet to check some part shapes I digitized before commiting some expensive sheet goods. My question is: what's the easiest way to run the program with the spindle off? It works ok putting parentheses around S# M3 and M5. I was wondering if just setting the tool rpm to \"0\" would work. Any other options?
Thanks,
Dave

Ryan,
I stopped using the DRY RUN function several years ago because it seems to have a problem with tool changes. I just add 2 inches to the Z shift and run the file. This gives me an accurate time study and allows me to see if I need to modify the order of operation.
