Need idea help on stove hood.
Happy New Year.
Hope everyone is healthy and survived .
I have a client that has very little vision and is not good at explaing things, as far as what she wants.
The major area of concern is in the hood area. straight or angled?
Or any other new ideas, I have seen the nice curved ones on here.
But I think their style is more classic and straight lined.
Any ideas aill be very helpful.
Thanks in advance

Brian,
I am copying an idea for a hood from Jon Giordano's web site. I thought it was a nice design. I should have the eCabinet drawings done tomorrow and I will post them if you like the design. That link is to a Flash presentation so you will have to scroll through a couple of pictures to see the hood.

I couldn't get any of the galleries to work--they all gave Javascript errors for me.
Is this someone you know Kerry? You might want to pass on to him that he misspelled \"styles\" as \"stiles\" on the Styles page. The menu is correct but the page is not. It is too nice of a website for that type of mistake.

Dan,
Jon just posts on another forum that I visit. He and one of the guys from his shop built that web site and when they first launched it they used a song by Andrea Bocelli (Con te Partiro) for the background music. The flash movie was choreographed perfectly with the song. It was spectacular. I don't know why he changed it unless there were royalty questions.
The link I posted should download a .swf file.

I think they built the site using Swish and not Macromedia products. That probably slows things down some. I use Coffeecup software to create my Flash movies and Galleries and they don't have all of the Pre-loaders etc so it makes things run slow. Like anything else the best tools create the best product.

The rhea hood looks good, the problem I'm having is getting it to integrate into the uppers on either side.
The transition from 12 5/8\" deep uppers to an 18 or 19\" hood depth.
Yeah send over the Rhea hood and maybe I can figure out how to integrate it or maybe modify it.
Hell maybe I will get so busy I will have to have you machine the whole job
Thanks Brian
P.S. thanks Kerry but i'm having the same problems as dan I can't see the pages.

Brian,
Here is the assembly for the vent hood. I didn't get all the details worked out but you can get the idea. You should be able to re-size everything. I made it fit a Dacor 30\" insert which I did a mock-up so I could see how it fits.

Here is a shot of the back side of the hood showing how the hood insert fits. My customer had originally wanted a Vent-a-Hood insert which was a really tight fit but changed to this Dacor.
That is the great thing about eCabinets, making sure everything fits before you start to build.
