Drawers in blank corner cabinet

Post by George Davidson »

Has anyone put drawers in the back of a blank corner cabinet.
If so did your customer have any remarks about it.

Now that I look at the picture I think the sides of the drawers are to
high. They are 6 in high now?

Interesting, I use a double swivel out of blind corner, then slide out of cabinet shelf system. Hope this is not a double post, my other one just seemed to vanish?

George,
Wouldn't you lose the storage space in front of the drawer so they could slide out? So you wouldn't really gain anything.

Unless you had a pull out in front of the back drawers and raised the back drawers up a little to clear the slides of the front drawer.

That's actuly good idea. I did a job that was resolved in similar matter.
However it was not done on eCabinets, or cnc.

I have been pondering a solution for this situation for a long time and was not able to come up with simple answer. All of the pre-fabed insets for corner cabinets are outragesly priced, although I see why. I have dreamed up some pretty elaborate contraptions that, in reality, would probably not hold up over time. It wasn't until I saw your drawing that the light went on. Thanks
