Base cabinet with detached tk

Post by Ted Allen »

Hi,
I did a library of base cabs with detached toekicks. I took the cab into the assembly area and added toekicks and then saved the cab as an assembly.

Now I find that whenever I use these assemblys that some of my editing functions when adding these to a room don't work. For instance, they will not snap to the other cabs no matter the place item mode.

Also none of the autofill or resize options work.

if this is the way it is, is there a work around for this?

Thanks
Ted

Removed the toekick

Post by Ted Allen »

HI,
I removed the toekick, left the detached tk and tk height boxes checked in construction settings, then saved as a cabinet instead of assembly and now the cabs \"snap to\" alignment. Also the other functions work.

They are mounted in the room at the regular mounting height with the toekick space below.

I assume I would make a display part the appropriate size to use as a tk?

Thanks
Ted

Ted , I made a seperate toe kick and saved it with my library. then I can place it as an item and easily change the size as needed. For 3- 30 \" cabs I will use 1- 90\" toe etc. HTH.
