I have been fooling around with the CPU affinity between eCabs using both processors and just one. I have noticed if you set eCabs to use just one processor it seems to operate a little better and a little faster. Don't expect any miracles. I am talking about small percentages. But when you are dealing with large kitchen files the small percentages add up when rendering. Just figured I let you know. You can do your own little experiments if you'd like. I also find that you can switch between programs quicker when using this method. I have recently upgraded my laptop from 1GB RAM to 2GB and now have enough ram to run my AOL without affecting performance of the program substantially. To set the affinity bring up the task manager (alt-ctrl-del), click on the processes tab, right click the ECABINETS.exe process and click on Set Affinity. Then choose one of the CPU's. I chose CPU 1.
Hope it helps
