New computer system needed

Post by Gene Davis »

My job loads and nesting are taking forever. My current batch of cabs comes in at close to 30 megs, and takes forever to load.

Nesting is a loooooooonnnnnnnngggggg affair.

What is the ideal new computer, both desk and laptop? I know this has been discussed before, but every month is a new one in the world of PC gear.

Please specify processor, video, etc.

I can only comment on a desktop, this is the system we built specifically to run eCabinet at our shop. We built it for just over $2000 with shipping, we bought all the components from Newegg.com. You can't buy a bigger system already put together at this price! It runs eCabinets flawlessly with no hesitations during redraws or renderings.
