I decided to not wait, and proceed to share the following with all of you.
Step 1, before I could design my own Krenov-inspired cabinet, was to try to replicate one of the original Krenov cabinets. Here is my rendition of the one I selected, with the spalted maple texture for the door boards I have on hand - this one is not as spindly on the legs as the original:
And here is the original Krenov that some / many of you might already know:

Looking good Al!!! I see you fiddled with the grain on the doors and took the bookmatch look (image tiling?) out.
