Under mount sink

Post by Damon Nabors »

Playing around with the tools to see if I could make an undermount sink. Not Perfect, but on the right track.

It looks good Damon. Nice looking granite as well. One suggestion I have is to change the shine on the faucet to something like 10%. There must be a bug in the program that it makes 0% shine look like a mirror, that's probably why your faucet is reflecting everything.

Yea I was wondering about that, the faucet did look like crap. I'll try adjusting the shine. Thanks Joe.

I’ve passed along the texture issue from the faucet to the programmers. Ill get back with you gentlemen as soon as I hear something.

The high reflection of some items like the faucet are due to the Appearance Settings it has been given for it's texture to create the metallic look. You can take the object into the display part editor and reduce the Gloss, Specular, and Mirror settings and re-save the part and it will still look metallic but have less reflection. You can also un-check Environmental Mapping.
When you find a metallic look that works for you, save it under Appearance setting.
If you just reduce the shine in presentation view, the object usually loses the appearance of metal
