Hi Audrey,
I cut several kitchens in Beta and a couple more in full release, no problems. I did fight with a cutting clients Vanity yesterday, but I really cant blame the software 100%. I say go for it...

Dayummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :fire:

Them's fightin' words Murray!!!!!

After all, I used YOUR seed cabinet.

In all seriousness, I may have discovered something that caused the whole tenon thing, and I think I can reproduce it. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure it was happening to me in the cherry job, so I deleted and added the partitions again. 3 times. (Resizing seems to be the culprit, but I don't have time to birddog it.)

Other than that, I'm enjoying the new features, especially in custom layout.

BTW, 1 pallet, 600 lbs, no problem. I have a General Contractor as a neighbor at the new shop, with a bored office guy who loves driving their skid loader. All it costs me is lunch.

I have had 3 different problems with the new upgrade. None of them serious.

#1 was the fact that the rendering won't go into wire frame when you rotate it and everything is checked to do so. It was reproduced and the programmers have been notified.

#2 is the fact that when a project is saved the rendering settings, walls that should be hidden and lighting that should be hidden, will reset and you need to hide them again. A minor inconvenience.

#3 is an earlier kitchen that I made in v5.1.5, it takes forever to get it to render in photo realistic. It gets stuck on finding geometry for 20-25 minutes. Could be longer/shorter after 15 minutes I left. I thought it was crashed, but when I returned sometime later it had rendered.

Other than those issues it has worked very well. The changes are excellent. A slight learning curve and all the things don't operate exactly the same, but usually not to hard to figure out. I give it 2 thumbs up.

Mike
What problems are you having with partitions and resizing?

Leo
Could you attach the job you refer to in problem 3?
Thanks

I'd rather not cry 'wolf', without time to reproduce the error. But since you asked.....

Blind dado construction, resize the cabinet, partitions either ended up too long or too short on the bottom. (This was a cabinet that I had to manipulate in order to achieve a split back, as it is 52 1/4" wide.) The only fix was to delete/re-add the partitions. As Mike indicated, some, if not all of this, may very well be user error on my part.

No way Mike, MY seeds are always perfect!  Thanks for the work, hope it goes together like a dream for you.

Walker,
I am not sure what happened and I would probably say it was something I done. I had a slight problem getting a small vanity to run and had a big truck coming to pick it up along with another larger job, in the process of fixing that,I lost a part editor cut and I think I just got flustered and VERY rushed, so I could not reproduce it for a million bucks. I will watch and try to document any other problems if possible. I just cut two large jobs for our shop that had several partitions in them and had no problems that I know of.

Thanks,
