Image loss on board stock material

Post by Gene Kimmi »

I have been having a problem loosing the image on my FAS Red Oak board stock. It is very random as to when it happens. The image I am using is the harvestgold 40sheen.

Here is an assembly I was working on when it happened the last time. I highlighted the cabinet and changed the left inset on the toe kick to 3/4" to account for the panel end, and when I clicked OK, the image was lost. Has anyone else had a problem with this? It started for me after I installed 5.2. Thanks

I have also had this happen, I usually just delete the offending part and redo it and everything is fine. Its only happened 2 or 3 times and it was before 5.2 was installed.

Every time this happens, I have to close out the job and cabinets I am working on and re-apply the image in my stock materials and update it. This has happened 6 or 8 times on the 3 jobs I have done since updating to 5.2. I have had it happen a couple of times before 5.2. Just seams like it has gotten worse.

Can you send me this cabinet when it had an image on it? I need the original one. Then I will need every step to get to where you are now with the cabinet.

Justin,

Here is the cabinet I started with. The steps to get to this point were;
1) Took cabinet to door editor to delete doors and drawer front.
2) Back in main area, changed width to 96"
3) Took cabinet to F.F. editor. Deleted the mid-rail. Added 4" mid-stile. Changed opening to the right of this stile to 21". Added a 2" mid-stile 18" to the left of the 4" mid-stile. Then added another 2" mid-stile to the left of this one and equalized those 2 openings.Then added my mid-rails.
4) Took the cabinet to the shelf-partition editor and added the partitions.
5) Back to the main area and unchecked has back and left end. Set deck to butt joint on left with a 1/2" inset.
6) Loaded my panel end and associated it to the cabinet. Noticed I forgot to inset the left side of the toe kick 3/4". When I did this is when the image was lost on FAS Red Oak.

If you have any question, you can call me at 1-785-548-7333.
