Re: Need Help
Is this what you wanted?
Create a display board 25 x 3, take to part editor, go to contour mode, use the line to trace the straight lines, then the three point arc to draw the arc, go back to part editor, right click and choose create part using closed contour, click the tracing to highlight it green and then click next. Then return saving the changes.
Edit: I forgot to mention, make sure your snap settings are on, I usually have mine set on 1/4" along with the grid settings.

Lamar,
Thank you that works great. Now can you create a marble counter top to curve?

Re: Need Help
OK.
I got the counter top to follow the conture but when I go to put a decorative edge on the front it won,t do it.
Is it something I am doing wrong or is it asking the program to do something thats not possible?

Re: Need Help
I think edge profiling an cut piece is something the program can not do. Not 100% sure though.

Re: Need Help
Gary,
Sometimes profiling a part is difficult because the radius of the cutter is too large to manuver the corners like your inside corner leading into the curve. Use the filet tool to soften this transition and sometimes the tool will follow the tool path.
You may also have to profile the part one single segement at a time instead of using partial.
Reversing the direction of the cut also works sometimes.
If you can't get it, send me your part and the name of the tool you want and I will try it.
Kerry

Re: Need Help
Kerry,
It did work doing single but looks interupted, when I render the drawing you can't tell it ( but I know it's there)
I did try to radius that inside corner with a 1/2 Rad. and it still would not do it in one pass
How do you reverse cut?
Gary

Re: Need Help
Start the cut on the opposite end.
You may have to adjust the left/right offsets to make the cut work correctly.
