Re: New Project
Gary-
First let me say that is a great looking layout - very detailed. As for price, it depends on your market and if you are doing it partly as a favor for a friend and not for a living.
I think I would be looking for something closer to twice what you quoted. The ent wall here is priced the same as yours, for a close relative, in Westchester county NY, and is being delivered and setup unfinished (primed) to be finished painted in white by their painter. The TV pops up from the center cabinet.
The doors/drawers are in wood only to show the detail.
A thought - is the TV accessible for service ? Looks like it's pretty thoroughly closed in.
Otherwise, again, a very nice job. What are you making it out of, and finishing ?
Joe

Re: New Project
This is going to be all Maple plywood veneer core, and solid Maple it will be stained, and installed for that price. As you can see in my other post ( I have designer block ) I am going to have to move the speakers so they are in the cabinet. The top over the TV is removable with vent opennings, and the TV is on a pull out arm.
Thanks,
Gary

Re: New Project
Something about the first jog of cabs closest to the fireplace doesn't look right to me. The 3 different levels looks cluttered and doesn't flow to the eye. Here's one that I did ... maybe it will give you some different ideas. The price is way tooo low. This is 15' wide x 10' tall.

Re: New Project
We did an entertainment center with some similarities to the picture you posted and the owner of the shop I work at told the customer that a ballpark figure would be around a $1,000 dollars a lineal foot. The customer told us after he got through having a heart attack he got a couple more bids from some other shops in town and came back to have us do the job. We are located in Southern Arizona.

Re: New Project
I have to kind of agree with Wally about the design - the narrow cabs alongside the FP seem to clutter it up somewhat. Looked cleaner in the first version.
But if that's what the client wants, and is willing to pay for..., go for it.

Re: New Project
Hi Gary ,
I think if the wider end sections of upper hutches step out in depth more equal to the way it steps out at the Tall Hutch from the TV section that this would be an improvement. ( If that makes any sense ?) Overall I like this design.
I just got 8,600.00 for a wall unit and mantel smaller than that and with a simpler design. (Finished and Installed)
I am in NY State (Orange County Region )
Hope this helps .

Re: New Project
Very nice design Gary. Your price is cheap!
If you get the project, do not forget that the Flat screen needs very good vents.
I would leave a good part of the TV cabinet top open for venting.

Re: New Project
The top is removable and the tv is going to be mounted on a pull out arm. But the design has changed sence then.
