Surgery successful
Finally had surgery for my back yesterday and everything went great. I'm not allowed to lift more than 15 pounds for 12 weeks but I will be able to drive and such in three weeks (after the drugs wear off ). Should be getting back into the fold soon (if the fold hasn't gone bankrupt first ).
Cheers to everyone.

Ummm...drug induced answers don't usually mix too well with power tools.

Hey Dan,
Glad to hear you finally had that surgery,it has been along time coming.I am glad you had this family forum to help out with the pain and restlessness. When your drugs wear off, that will give you time to spend on E-Cab World.
Fast Recovery and enjoy that physical therapy,
Scot

Just to clarify for everyone, the "fold" means the general economy--not Thermwood or me.DanEpps wrote:...Should be getting back into the fold soon (if the fold hasn't gone bankrupt first )...

Good deal Dan, I'm happy that you are going to be in good shape again. Just don't get over anxious and lift something to heavy.

Re: Surgery successful
Dan,
Great to hear your surgery went well. Take everyone's advice here and REST (while you can). And do what they tell you to do in Physical Therapy! I just got done with 8 weeks PT/recovery from microfracture surgery on my left knee. 4 weeks on crutches, followed by 4 weeks of limited use. I always felt better the day after I gave the PT everything I had.
Hang in there and get well soon. My family is praying for your recovery.

Trust me, I'm thoroughly milking...I mean taking advantage of...I mean...well, you know, my wife is waiting on me hand and foot.
Believe it or not Mike, I don't have any post-op PT--just good old-fashioned rest (and babying by the wife ).

Great news! Work on that "Oh I'm in too much pain to even consider that" face.

Re: Surgery successful
Congrats Dan! Heal fast. That 15 lb. limit should still serve you well for the upcoming holiday meals, but I recommend bringing a scale to the dinner table just to play it safe
God bless.
