I have tried to get on the Kimrick Wood Products, and the site will not come up I have tried for 4 days now.
Can anybody else get on the site. What I was wanting to do is compare their price with Brown Wood Products, and see what they have to offer.
Thanks
Gary

Re: Kimrick
Kerry asked about that on Woodweb last week. I think he said that no one was answering the phones nor did the web site work.

Re: Kimrick
Yes I did see that Kerry asked on Woodweb, so I thought maybe someone here might have an answer. Anyway I have never seen their site and was wondering what they had to offer and to compare them to Brown Wood Products.
Has anyone used either one. If so what is your oppion on the two companies? Are the products simular? How long has Kimrick been around?

Gary,
I received a call Friday and Kimrick has closed their doors. A company out of Kentucky called Solid Wood Parts is going to be producing the same line as Kimrick. Their website will be solidwoodparts.com but is not up yet.

Gary,
I have never used Brown Wood Products (have looked at their website several times) so I can't give you any kind of report on them. Kimrick was a great company. They had a very small offering of products but did them well and had great service.

Re: Kimrick
Kerry,
I have used Brown Wood and the service and quality are very high, delivery time is excilent also.
I was just wondering about Kimrick for another source, and maybe they had some different styles to choose from.
Thanks

Re: Kimrick
In Canada we have a company called 'Art for Everyday'. They have a very extensive choice of wooden parts. With the exchange now a day that could be good for you Americans also.

Re: Kimrick
Jean,
I agree, Art for Everyday has some really nice stuff but they were about as expensive as Enkeboll last time I looked. I will have to check them out again.
Gary,
Have you looked at Osborne Wood Products. Good line and good service. They also offer their entire line in .stl format for the eCabinets users.
Some others you might want to look at if you haven't already are White River Hardwoods, Pearlworks and Ornamental Products.

Re: Kimrick
Talking about White River, beware some of their carved moldings that are stocked in poplar the carve part looks like a MDF glue in, it is not 100% carved out of poplar. I know it doesn't matter when youy are painting the project, I am talking about when you stain.
Second they consider 8' as a specified length and add 30% to the order

Re: Kimrick
Gary,
White River has a solid wood line of moldings and then their Mon Reale moldings which have an applied mdf or plaster carving. The Mon Reale line is not suitable for cabinet work. (Unless it is paint grade)
The Pearlworks line is resin. They do some nice stuff but I can't make myself use it.

Re: Kimrick
I've used Osborne and I like their products. It certainly is a plus having all of their products available for us as STL files. Nothing sells a job like having nice renderings.
