Applying door with a fixed shelf
I have a cabinet with a fixed shelf in it and I want to place a door on it, but the shelf is causing the cabinet to be divide. I don't want to place door a above and below. I know if I delete the shelf I can place a single door on it. But don't want delete the shelf because I already taken it to parts editor and modified it. Is there a way to place a single door on it without deleting the shelf?

You could set the reveal, or overlay (depending on whether it's frameless or faceframe) to the proper negative number (in case of reveal) or positive number (in case of overlay) to cause the door to be the right size.
Or add the door to the cabinet as a display door.

Re: Applying door with a fixed shelf
Patrick,
I would take your existing shelf back into the part editor, go to contour and right click and choose "Create Edges" You can now save this geometry so that you can delete the shelf, add your doors then add a new shelf and take it into the part editor and use this geometry to create your new part.
I think you will have to add the shelf after the doors no matter what.

Kerry,
I was able to save the geometry, but how do you recreate the part with the save geometry?

Patrick, take the new part into Contour then click Load Geometry. From there you can load the Parasolid File from where you saved it. Head back to the PE to make your cuts.
