What does it take to get the parts to display a new texture when I change the image accociated with sheets or boards? I have gone into the materials folder and changed an oak image to a solid colour, but kept the same name. If I look up the specific sheet thru Materials, it shows the new texture, but when in the room layout it still shows the oak texture. I've tried shutting the computer right down and re loading the job, but still the wood texture. If I open a cabinet to properties and close it still has the wood, but I loose all my P/E cuts. I'm hoping there is some way to get the solid colour to take as it would take days to re-draw everything from scratch. All I need to do is show the kitchen in white as well as wood grain.
Any ideas?

Re: changing images for sheets
Hmmmm....
Me thinks that the assigned material image(s) is/are saved with each cabinet definition... Same as the other material specs such as sheet size, thickness, etc. This follows the "self-contained package" format of the cabinet HSFs.
I don’t believe that the JPG image on disk is referenced again unless re-assigning a material.

Greg,
Try creating a new material with the color you need, then just go to the room layout right click and pick change material.

Nope, that didn't work. Kept getting a Tennon error and reverted. When done the process some of the parts were missing, some had lost the P/E cuts and some just stayed the same.
Any other ideas,.... please.

Greg,
I guess you will have to call Justin in the morning. He will probably want the file. Maybe if you post the file someone might be able to figure it out. Sorry

Re: changing images for sheets
Greg,
Close eCabinets
Open eCabinets go to preferences and choose the new texture image for your sheet stock and click update.
Exit preferences and open your job
It should display the new texture.

Re: changing images for sheets
Thanks, Kerry. That did it. Had about 8 different materials that needed to be changed, but still WAY faster than re doing the job.
Thanks
