Adding Cabinets to angled walls

Post by ScotAcree »

What are the best ways to add cabinets to walls that are on an angle compared to the X,Y origin?I will also be putting cabinets on the wall that is inline with origin X,or wall #1.

Is there a way to use 90 degree walls and then keep the cabinets associated to them and then manipulate them to the angle I want? Tried this way,but the cabinets won't move with the wall.

Scot,

While your cabinet is still just a wire frame, right click then choose Place Cabinet/Assembly Options then Change Rotation
A dialog box will appear where you can rotate your cabinet to the desired angle then check the Lock Angle Box.
You can now place your cabinet on that locked angle.

I did do that, though how do you keep the cabinet from overlapping the previous cabinet.I can use the align to back but how do use the move inc.and the arrow buttons to butt the cabs. together. The cabs do not align like they do with 90 degree walls.
Makes for placing cabinets more time consuming. If this is the way to go about it,that is what I will do.Thank you for the reply.

Scot,

You can create an assembly and rotate the cabinet that goes on the angled wall to the proper angle and then use the align tool to join the two cabinets at the front corner. Place the assembly in the room using align to back then go to free style to move it against the angled wall.

You can place the cabinets in the room and zoom in an use free style to join them or you can calculate the position of each cabinet on your walls and place them using the numerical entry boxes in an elevation view.

No quick and easy way.
